Scrapbooking – How to Create a Vacation Memory Book
If you’re like most people, you take rolls and rolls of photographs on your vacations, and then once you get home these photos stay under your bed or in a closet stored in shoeboxes, never to be seen again. Why not bring them out and display them? Create a vacation memory book to store these memories.
Especially if you have young kids, record these fun memories before they are forgotten. Whether your family vacations are a weekend camping trip or your dream trip to Europe, make a vacation scrapbook to capture these memories. Why take rolls of photos only to keep them where nobody will ever look at them? When you first take these photos out of their boxes, you’ll be surprised at how many vacation memories they bring back.
You can make a separate scrapbook for each vacation or leave room at the back of a large scrapbook to add pages for future vacations. If you take a yearly vacation as a family, you should keep these in the same book so that you can flip from year to year, watching your family grow up in the space between those cherished vacations.
To make a vacation scrapbook, first gather all of your vacation photos. Go through the boxes, and choose a selection of photos to use in your scrapbook. Keep in mind that you don’t have to use everything! Pick the ones that recall the best memories of your trip. Choose the best photos, where everyone is smiling and in-focus.
Don’t forget to save tickets, menus, and other memorabilia from your vacation, too. You can also write your vacation memories directly into the book, either handwritten or typed. These can add valuable details to the book, making it much more than just a photograph album. Years from now, these notes will bring back wonderful memories of your vacation.
When designing your scrapbook pages, don’t forget that even the embellishments you use can evoke the setting of your vacation. Use a background page that looks like leaves, a beach, or the setting sun, for example. Choose background papers that match the tone of the photos you’ve selected, and make sure that the photos match the colors of the background as well. You can buy die cut embellishments that are shaped like everything from a tent to a beach pail to add interest to your page.
Once you have your background papers, embellishments, and photographs selected, now it’s time to arrange the photos on the pages. When designing the layout of your album pages, keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be in chronological order. You can also group your photos around a theme. For example, you can place all of the beach photos together in your album. There is no wrong way to assemble the pages of your book, so be creative!
Vacation scrapbooks are a great way to get your photographs out of their storage boxes and display them. Looking back through the scrapbook years after your trip, you’ll be able to recall wonderful memories of your vacation.

How do start a monthly online scrapbook kit?
I know how to assemble them and order the product. I am just not sure how to get business. Like, how do I set up a nice website, and how do I advertise it to get business? How do I show up at the top when someone types in scrapbook Page Kits.
You really should develop some form of a business plan to start.
E-commerce packages are widely available depending on needs and budget. First, you will need a domain name that is not already in use – try Network Solutions. From there, you will also need a web hosting company to host your website — I recommend 1and1.com since they have a wide variety of tools at your disposal that are user friendly to a beginner.
Also, if you plan to build the site yourself you will need basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. If you don’t plan to build it yourself then a pre-packaged site such as Volusion or Homestead will be helpful to you.
You have to build the foundation before you even begin to think about how to market it correctly. Your business plan should help you address this — as you will need to decide your target market and how best to reach them through various media.
Showing up at the ‘top of the page’ refers to SEO — Search Engine Optimization. There are two ways to approach this: organic and paid search. Organic Search is based on the content and relevance of your site as it pertains to search keywords. This is a fueled by search engine methodologies. On the second hand business pay for keywords or search terms. The budget you set for these terms will affect your page ranking for a specific search. When users click on your ad you pay based upon your top bid for that keyword.
Scrapbooking Photos – The Different Ways Of Putting It…
An ordinary photo-album can be transferred into your own life’s journal pages by spending some time to transform it into a visual storyboard. By adding comments under the pictures and revealing hidden memories and emotions, the creation of a scrapbook can be a wonderful experience that you will make you smile when recalling your past adventures. Most importantly, creating your scrapbook from scratch and using your personal touch to turn your photo-album into something very special, can be a unique experience in itself. Journaling a photo-album and creating a scrapbook makes one think of the most essential elements of someone’s life stories.
With numerous supplies available on the market, creating your own scrapbook does not need much more than your own story’s version memories. Personalizing a photo-album according to your imagination is as easy as 1-2-3. First, all you need to do is to buy or collect the materials you will need to finish your project. An empty album, some glue, a pair of scissors, and of course your collection of photographs, stickers, tickets and newspaper clippings.
You can also select to use any type of fabric, ribbon, or bits of leftovers from other projects, which can be used to embellish your personal journaling photo-scrapbook.
Some more professional tools, like an exact knife’s versatile blade, will allow you to accomplish a professionally perfect outcome. In addition, a pair of tweezers can assist you picking up and placing smaller photographs and objects into exact positions before you glue them on the scrapbook pages without getting glue all over your fingers.
Even the glue you will select to affix your choice of photographs, phrases and quotes on the pages should be carefully selected. Some of the glues sold dry rather quickly and are less messy. Options include glue dots, two-sided tape, Xyron, acid free photo tabs and polypropylene corners. Finally, keep in mind that if you purchase an acid- and lignin-free album you will increase your scrapbook’s duration preserving your paper treasures intact for years.
If you are creating your album on your own, you need to finish it and have it ready as an empty book before you will be able to add your choice of content. Think first of the people who will read your creation.
In case they were not participants of the activity you wish to describe, it is better to assist your readers by providing them with as many details as possible, so they can relive your memories and stories. Using the five “W’s” is the best method in this case.
Name the people appearing in each photo and state the purpose of the photograph. By describing what was happening you assist the reader understand the situation you experienced and become part of the storytelling idea. Mentioning where the event took place and when the photograph was taken is also important.
No matter what the occasion or event, you can be sure that by taking instant photos it will give you an even better way of creating a scrapbook to be proud of, and one you will never get bored of looking back at. By using instant photos instead of digital photos, you will also achieve a real scrapbook look.
Finally, consider stating why you decided to use this particular photograph. Explaining what makes it so important to you will assist the viewer’s reasoning too.

Electric President: Scrapbook 2
directed by : ben cooper & mark hubbard
www.radicalface.com
track: scrapbook 2
artist: Electric President
album : Sleep well
morr music 2008
This was done the same way as the other scrapbook. These were the easiest to shoot, but by far the hardest videos to finish. Because they had no real guide line to follow, Mark and I edited them about five times each, and we pretty much stopped simply because we were tired of looking at them. Being as open-ended as they were, we could have tinkered with them forever, and it was tough to say whether the tinkering was making them better, or just changing them.
But I had a lot of fun building the sets for these. For example, that TV was something I found in the garbage, and my brother and I got some candles and melted them over it with a blow torch. Or that giant lamp, which originally was for the exterior of a house — my brother rewired it and got it working again. It was comically large, so we couldn’t resist sticking it in there somewhere. It was enjoyable digging through obscure props and random trash like that and finding ways to use them. And I didn’t break my $200 budget, unless you count coffee and pizza, which I’m pretty proud of.

Chicago (band)- Scrapbook -LIVE (1977)
I LOVE this song. It was never a single or anything, but a true Chicago classic. “scrapbook” was written and sung by Robert Lamm. It appeared on their 1976 release, ‘Chicago X’. Terry Kath also has a nasty little solo on this one. The horns are tight! This song hasn’t been performed since 1983.
Enjoy!

Heritage Scrapbooking – Recording The History Of The Family
The perfect place to showcase and protect your precious family photos, heirlooms, and memories, a heritage scrapbook album is wonderful way to document your family’s history and create a lasting gift for future generations. While it may seem a daunting task when faced with boxes of dusty old photos, scrap booking is actually both fun and more easy than you might think!
At the heart of most heritage scrapbooks are the photos – pictures of your grandparent’s wedding, your great-grandfather at work in the fields, a family Christmas celebration… Begin your heritage scrapbook project by gathering together as many photographs as possible, from boxes, attics, old albums, and relatives. These photos don’t necessarily need to have people in them – pictures of old houses, automobiles, and towns are great for adding historical interest to a family history scrapbook. Remember, in your quest, that pictures from slides and reel-to-reel 8mm films can be made at a relatively low cost through your local photo store.
Family mementos such as birth and marriage certificates, report cards, old letters, family recipes, clothing items, and a lock of hair can also add interest to a family history scrapbook. Smaller items can be incorporated into a heritage scrapbook by placing them in clear, self-adhesive, acid-free memorabilia pockets. Larger heirlooms such as a pocket watch, wedding dress, or family quilt can also be included by photocopying or scanning them, and using the copies in your heritage album.
Historically, scrap booking was in the tradition much akin to storytelling, but with a tactile, wistful and visual focus. Heritage scrap booking preserves a legacy of written history in the form of memorabilia, photographs and printed media in decorated scrapbook albums. Heritage scrap booking with photographs has been around since pictures became available to the average person. Traditional scrapbooks tend to have photographs mounted with photo mount corners and notations with who was in the photograph and when and where the photograph was taken. In heritage scrap booking, the photographs included bits of memorabilia like letters and newspaper clippings.
Heritage scrap booking and family tree ideas include scrap booking layouts, scrapbook page ideas, scrap booking supplies, and journaling techniques and tips. A computer can be helpful in turning precious family photographs into a lovely scrapbook or decorative album via the creativity of digital scrap booking. Going en route to digital scrap booking, instead of traditional scrap booking, means less cost spent on scrap booking supplies and the ability to print out multiple scrapbook copies of beautiful scrapbook layouts. There are step-by-step guides available to using memorabilia, memories and old photographs to create a visual and historical scrapbook of family heritage and history.
Begin your page by choosing a number of photos for your page which relate to a single theme – e.g. Great-grandma’s wedding. For a single album page layout, select 3-5 photos. For a two page spread, select between 5-7 photos. When you have the option, use only the best photos for your heritage album – photos which are clear, focused, and best help to tell the “story.”
Use a pair of sharp scissors to trim away unwanted background and other objects in your photos. You may want to keep cars, houses, furniture, or other background images in some photos for historical reference, while highlighting just a specific individual in others. Cropping templates and cutters are available to help you crop your photos in a variety of shapes. Decorative-edged scissors can also be used to trim photos.
Heritage scrap booking can immortalize the cherished photographs of family and loved ones, documents, stories and memorabilia for generations to come. Scrapbooks can be much more than just albums with photographs, namely when it comes to sharing and preserving family history. A scrap booking website normally affords family scrap booking articles, a collection of scrap booking poems for heritage, history-themed scrapbook tips and scrapbook page layouts. There are many scrap booking web sites that offer monthly scrapbook layouts for the heritage scrap booking hobbyist. Family members can be included, along with a family tree that’s organized by working from the latest generation backwards in time.
